I recently wrote aboutTrust and Luck, two small communities in western North Carolina. In the photos of the Pink J. Plemmons general store was this rocking chair. What, may I ask, is more hopeless than an rocking chair with one rocker missing? It sits in front of the closed store, advertising abandonment and decay. Pity. Both the rocker and the store have great character. Is there no one who can restore them and make a living off the tourists who come through the area? I would be happy to stop in.
